Border Arts Corridor Announces 10th Annual Binational Artwalk - Celebrating a Decade of Cross-Border Creativity and Connection

Douglas, Arizona & Agua Prieta, Sonora — November 7 & 8, 2025 — The Border Arts Corridor (BAC) is proud to announce the 10th Annual Binational Artwalk, a landmark celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community taking place November 7 & 8, 2025, on both sides of the U.S.–Mexico border.

This year’s milestone event will activate G Avenue in front of the historic Grand Theatre in Douglas and the area just east of the Port of Entry in Agua Prieta, near the Biblioteca de Agua Prieta, into a vibrant corridor of art, music, and cross border exchange.

The Binational Artwalk first began in 2015, originally known as “Artwalk on G.” That inaugural year featured two events — one in May and another in October as part of the Repellent Fence Project Weekend, a monumental land art installation by the Indigenous artist collective Postcommodity that drew international attention to the borderlands as a site of connection. The weekend brought together over 200 artists exhibiting their work across Douglas and Agua Prieta. What began as a G Avenue activation has since grown into a regional celebration, uniting creatives, performers, and audiences from both sides of the border.

This year’s Artwalk will feature new works by the 2025 BAC Fellows — Jonathan Rodriguez, Andrés Caballero, Estefanía Ramírez Toscano, Belén Muro, Ana Gabriela Ainza Dorame, and Oscar Mares — alongside a lineup of local artists and performers, community groups, and local vendors. Applications for additional participating artists and vendors are open until October 30, inviting community from both sides of the border to join in this year’s celebration.

“This tenth anniversary is not just a celebration of art, but of relationships,” said M. Jenea Sánchez, Co-Executive Director of Border Arts Corridor. “What began as an idea to bring artists together on G Avenue has become a decade-long movement grounded in connection, creativity, and the belief that art has no borders.”

The 2025 Binational Artwalk will feature:

  • Artistic installations by U.S. and Mexican artists

  • Live performances and music across both sites

  • Youth and community art exhibitions

  • Food and craft vendors
